In our open-concept living space—where work, relaxation, and daily life seamlessly intertwine—every corner tells a story. As someone who finds joy in curating spaces through colour and texture, I've always believed that our surroundings should inspire, comfort, and adapt as we do.
That philosophy led me to Flokk and its family of Norwegian-designed chairs: the iconic HÅG Capisco saddle chair, the versatile Tion, and the gracefully curved Noor. Each piece brings its own personality through a palette of muted pinks, forest greens, warm yellows, and rich browns—available in wool, fabric, and leather options that blend beautifully with existing decor. Even our cat has claimed one as her favourite napping spot.

While aesthetics initially drew me in, it was the thoughtful engineering behind each chair that truly won me over. As two people working from home, my partner and I struggled with long hours of sitting. The HÅG Capisco, with its intuitive saddle-shaped seat and wide, stable base, has been transformative. It encourages movement—whether sitting forward, backward, or leaning into a creative flow—while offering unparalleled support. My taller partner, who never quite found the right fit in conventional chairs, now enjoys customized posture alignment and effortless adjustability.
In our compact workspace, the Tion chair’s slim profile (with a base diameter of just 62cm) makes it an ideal companion. But its small footprint is only part of the story. Crafted from 71–75% recycled materials and designed for easy assembly and disassembly, the Tion reflects Flokk’s commitment to sustainability. It’s built to be repaired and refurbished—even after its 10-year warranty expires—making it a lasting partner rather than a short-term purchase.

At the heart of these designs is a philosophy articulated by HÅG’s own Peter Opsvik: there is no single “right” way to sit. Just as life is fluid, our furniture should enable movement, choice, and comfort in all its forms. With Flokk, we haven’t just furnished our home—we’ve redefined how we move, work, and rest within it.
